In 2016 Novelty Hat partnered with Kenyan documentary filmmaker Mark Simiyu Nyongesa to create documentary content & crowdfunding campaign videos for Ideal Community Radio — a nonprofit project dedicated to providing public information, media education, and local communication to remote villages in Kenya by building and maintaining independent radio stations.
